At the time I am writing this, it’s been exactly 6 months since this blog has been launched and literally 0 people has visited it. Oh my GOD just as I was about to finish the previous sentence, someone commented on one of my videos on Facebook!!! Oh man, it is the first time ever someone ever engaged with me on ANY platform, I am sooo stoked!! Should I send notifications to all of the people that reacted to my post suggesting them to follow me as recommended by the Meta business suite? For now, I will not and instead, I will let them organically follow me from their own free will.
Otherwise, I received 1 new follower two days ago (September 3rd, 2023) on my Facebook page from that same reel video which felt very exciting. I felt just as excited when I got my first follower on Instagram one month and a half after launching the page and two additional ones a day later (who all unfollowed me back after I wanted to follow them too 🤦♂️). I received 5 likes and 300 views on one of my Facebook reels so I was really happy to see that people enjoyed my video!! It was an exact same video reel I uploaded on Instagram and YouTube, but got 0 views on both. I only have 1 subscriber on my YouTube channel which I am not sure who exactly it is since it comes from a private account.
I have been working ALONE for these past 6 months and anonymously, so nobody that knew me in real life was aware about this blog. I have been trying to find other early travel bloggers, but so far, none have responded to my three public announcements and to my two public posts on Facebook groups (two out of five of them that the group admin accepted). I will not stop though until I find them.
This post has been scheduled to be released one year after it has been finalized (on September 5th, 2024). I will purposely leave this post unchanged to keep its raw message and authenticity when I look back one year from now. Here is my message to you, my one-year older self!!
I hope you will have the following by the time this gets released:
- A mastermind group of three other early travel bloggers (no more than that, because nothing gets really done in larger group meetings) who are trying to succeed as badly as you. They could be from all over the world so that it can replicate the international or on the road vibe from each other when together. If you are all visiting different countries, it makes sense to work differently, because it gives the hope that people from radically different places came come together, achieve common goals and work together.
- You are conversational in Spanish on the streets, ordering food or in daily life of any Spanish speaking countries.
- You create, produce, acquire skills, feel satisfied that you learned something meaningful and accomplish 100X more everyday than you consume.
- You engage in flow state everyday, avoid major distractions while making sure that once you reflect, you are proud and certain that you have accomplished enough.
- Your days are more progressive whereas the events of any given day has profound, meaningful and precise bearings on the events of the following ones. Remember that ideal results and outcomes aren’t perceivable, tangible nor obvious on an hourly or daily basis, but only on a yearly, quinquennial or decade ones. Try to make your actions compound into positive results as quickly as you can, but don’t stress if you don’t see them immediately after.
- You don’t regret not having accomplished enough at the end of any given day and you never wish for any day to end. You want to keep growing and you can’t wait to evolve on the following days.
- You put higher time, financial and emotional value on choosing the highest priority goals, because you have such a low lifetime.
- You can maximize your time daily so that you can work at your best, achieve & accomplish the most, housekeep a little bit and reflect upon the experience without burning out too hard.
- You can push through the unideal working conditions such as cold or hot temperature, perhaps unclean workplace or just in general, very minimal conditions while still making significant progress you are satisfied with daily.
- You view yourself less as an underdog in life and more as free man.
- You are less hesitant at going in every country and knowing that you have the freedom to embark in each one of them.
- You have told your high school friends the truth about your life and you can stop worrying about it so much.
- You are more seriously following your own advice.
- You made some investments and cashed out a fair bit from them
- You are not in trouble with the law.
- You are currently in some amazing place and country when this comes out.
- You are less worried that your life will get out of control.
- You can smile more genuinely with real people rather than the fakes ones you encounter.
- You are not broke from living the life you set out to live and you are not financially vulnerable.
- You will not have paid for any advertisements, nor promotion hubs, nor external marketing services aside from of your own time, self-marketing and self-promotion. You can succeed organically and sustainably. I hope you will never have to pay for content creation courses nor advertisements boosts to succeed in your journey as a content creator.
- You earned some money from this side-hustle. I hope it is enough to cover your daily expenses, but if not, I hope it’s at least something rather than nothing.
- You are healthy, your body is not broken down and you can perform all kinds of movements, you can stretch.
- You can hold your own without needing financial help from your parents or siblings no matter where you are. You can handle any problems that life throws at you and you can get yourself out of deep hell when you need to. You can ask for help from other people when it comes to many aspects of life, but never for anything financial especially never from your direct or extended family.
- You are proud of the memories you will have collected and you keep developing them.
- You have told everyone about your life, the abuse, the emotions, their behaviours towards you and you keep reminding them everyday so that they stop messing with you. NEVER HOLD BACK ON TRUEST WORDS, EMOTIONS AND REAL LIFE EVENTS.
- You found better people to spend your life with and to help you and to mentor you properly on a daily basis than your male parent. You still have a great relationship with your mother and brother without asking them for financial, emotional nor any kind of support that is too large for them to handle on you.
- I hope you did not need to come back to your parent’s house yet (nothing wrong with anyone who does so), but in your case specifically.
- Finally, maybe you found a girl you would be interested in having a big family with.
More importantly, don’t stop chasing after your dreams! Travel across the land searching far and wide .
